It started with a AA-plus in fourth grade, a paper on Teddy Roosevelt. After college, a major in advertising/PR and minor in English landed me at Tracy-Locke/BBDO Advertising in Dallas. A few years more, after a writing stint in Vienna, Austria, I was freelancing.
Then the writing hit high gear. First for a PR company, then as a partner in my own PR firm: ads, op-eds, radio, webs, letters, television, essays, articles, speeches, speaking points, books, and more. For every kind of client, I used words to identify goals and press the pedal.
My writing and content work span film (Sony, Samuel Goldwyn, Universal), nonprofits (Halftime/Bob Buford, Salvation Army, The HE Butt Foundation, BigThought), business (GTE, Breyer's Ice Cream, Imperial Sugar, TD Jakes Enterprises, Providence Energy), fundraising (Resource Services, Inc.), travel (French Affaires), books (The Little Red Book of Wisdom, Trade Up, Plan of Action), and medical research (International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding, Ro5 AI Drug Discovery ). If that has your attention, keep reading and click on "Portfolio."
Winston Churchill is famously said to have mobilized the English language and sent it into battle--a ringing reminder that words have power and ideas have consequences. It's a joy to bring them together.
